Your New Morning Coffee and Evening Cocktail!

Wake up from your deep slumber, rub your sleepy eyes, give yourself a good stretch and stumble your way into the kitchen to make an elixir that is sure to give you great energy and get your metabolism going! Elixirs are a great way to welcome your body to a new day. Staying away from my morning coffee has been a hard habit to break, but I promise you that making the transition from coffee to elixir for caffeine and a boost can be more beneficial!

Below are some my favorite sippers to start the morning:

(all these recipes can be simply made in a blender)

Rose Gold Elixir

-juice from half a grapefruit

-1 oz pure aloe vera juice

-1/2 cup fresh coconut water

Elixir Coffee

-3 cups alkaline water (my preferred choice is Essentia)

-2 TBS mesquite

-2 TBS lucuma powder

-2 TBS cacao powder

-2 TBS unsalted grass-fed butter or ghee (like kerrygold)

-2 Pitted Dates

-2 TBS pure vanilla

-optional: 1 tsp cinnamon – just because

Power Elixir

-1 frozen acai frozen smoothie pack

-1/2 frozen banana

-1/2 cup frozen blueberries

-2 tsp raw honey

-1 tsp spirulina

-1 serving maca powder

-1 serving vegetable protein powder of choice

-1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or more if not smooth enough)

After a long day, nothing feels more relaxing than a bubble bath and a nice glass of wine. Just like your morning coffee habit, lets kick that wine habit and give you a wonderful body gratifying drink to sip on to wind down with.

Deep Slumber Tea

-8 oz hot water

-1/2 inch grated fresh ginger

-1 bag chamomile tea or enough dried chamomile flowers to fill one tea bag

(let tea steep in water before adding ginger)

Sip and drift off into la-la land. Wake up and start back at the top of this article! Let your creativity flow in your glass!

Heather fell in love with the SPX style Pilates workout and experienced amazing results after just a short amount of time.   Amazingly enough, this all happened at a time when she was in her last year of college at UCLA and considering her career options.  It was a combined passion for health and fitness with her new found favorite workout that led Heather to open her first studio in Hollywood in 2006.  At that time, she had a small goal in mind to introduce this amazing workout to the community.  To Heather’s surprise, the phenomenon caught on very quickly, so much that she decided to expand her business and open three additional studios- Santa Monica, Venice and Brentwood.

When Heather is not fully involved with her studios, she love to run, dance, laugh, be with family and travel the world.  Most days you can find Heather walking her dog on the beach, sipping on coffee at a local coffee shop, and/or drinking a local fresh cold pressed organic green juice.  She loves supporting her community around her and being involved with them as much as possible.
